David E. Wandling decided at an early age that he would become a trial attorney dedicating his career to those in need of legal services and representation.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Iowa State University in 1987, he enrolled at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. While attending law school, he studied international law in London, England, at Regents College. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree with honors from William Mitchell College of Law in 1992.
Originally, Dave had planned on being insurance defense attorney, but ultimately he felt a needed to represent companies and to protect the rights of individual plaintiffs.
Dave enjoy the litigation process – love presenting to jury. Enjoy helping people form business entities and helping them negotiate and create agreements and contracts that lead to win-win situations. Most importantly, I feel called to help individuals protect and pursue their rights when they have been harmed because of the wrongful conduct of others. Sometimes bad things happen, people are hurt, and no one is to blame. In those cases, I try to be candid with injured individuals that, while they are frustrated and angry, there may not be anyone legally responsible for their pain and difficulty. In those cases where there is a person or business responsible for my client’s pain and loss, I put all my resources to work to ensure that the responsible parties are held accountable for their wrongful conduct. Whether my clients are looking for a financial recovery, assurance that the Defendants will not harm someone else the same way again in the future, or simply the peace of mind that comes from knowing they stood up and held the Defendants accountable for their wrongful conduct, I always make certain I remember that my clients are not people trying to “make a quick buck”, but rather people who are hurting, people who are frustrated and angry, people who want someone to listen to them, people who want someone to help them find a way to move on with their lives. Sometimes my job requires me to file a lawsuit … sometimes my job requires me to do nothing more than listen.
